Springbok coach Rassie Erasmus has called up veteran utility forward Deon Fourie for South Africa’s four-test series against the All Blacks kicking off this month, SA Rugby announced.
Fourie, 39, who is a loose forward and hooker, is returning to the game following a lengthy spell on the sidelines because of injury.
His last test for the Springboks was the 2023 Rugby World Cup final against New Zealand in Paris, which the South Africans won 12-11.
Fourie scored a try against the All Blacks on Saturday in the visitors’ tour-opening win over the Stormers.
The test series kicks off on August 23.
