Northland have beaten Otago 38-19 in Whangārei to move into the NPC final.

  • Northland opened the scoring early through prop Marcel Renata, who scored a first-half double.
  • Otago struck back to lead in the first half, but Northland led 17-14 at the break.
  • The second half saw Northland kick things up a gear, outscoring Otago 21-5 in the second half.
  • It’s the first time Northland have qualified for the NPC final.
  • They will meet either Canterbury or Taranaki in the final. The two square off in the other semi-final, in Christchurch on Sunday.
  • If Taranaki beat Canterbury, Northland will host the final.
