Ryan Fox joins Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy’s TGL golf league for 2027 season

Ryan Fox will become the latest Kiwi attraction in one of sport’s most innovative competitions after being drafted into Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy’s TGL league.
The Open Championship winner has been named in the Bay Golf Club roster for the 2027 season with his teammates, including fellow PGA Tour stars Ludvig Aberg, Wyndham Clark and Presidents Cup teammate Min Woo Lee.
Nineteen-year-old Blades Brown, who earned his PGA Tour card through the Korn Ferry Tour, has also joined the Bay Golf Club roster. The team missed the semi-finals in the six-team competition this year.
The TGL is a 3-v-3 golf event where players hit full shots into a giant simulator screen, then play short-game shots and putts on a technology-enabled green that can change shape and slope. Next year, a new team joins in the Motor City Golf Club, while each side will feature five players, compared to four.
Fox’s team will take on the likes of Boston Common Golf led by Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods’ side, Jupiter Links Golf Club, at the custom built arena at SoFi Centre in Los Angeles.
