India begin their one-day cricket series against the Black Caps at Eden Park after beating the hosts 3-2 in their Twenty20 series.

The Black Caps have confirmed Rachin Ravindra and Mark Chapman will not play a part in any match, while Tim Seifert, who was initially scheduled to come back for matches four and five, will be part of the squad for the whole series.

Virat Kohli is part of the India squad and could finish the series by becoming his country’s highest-scoring batter in One-Day Internationals (ODIs) played in New Zealand.

The 37-year-old has scored 514 runs in 11 matches. Kohli sits behind Virender Sehwag on 598 in 12 while Sachin Tendulkar tops the list with 652 in 18.

Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya are still out of action, but it could be an opportunity for Nitish Kumar Reddy to show off his bowling prowess.

New Zealand’s last ODI series was played in the West Indies in July, where they came away with a 3-2 series victory and beat India 2-1 in January in their last series in this format against each other.
