Two people were hurt, one seriously, after an alleged assault on Ponsonby Rd, Auckland, early this morning.
Hato Hone St John treated two people and took them to Auckland City Hospital after being called to the central Auckland restaurant and shopping strip about 2.45am.
“One patient was in a moderate condition and the other was in a serious condition,” a spokesman said.
Two ambulances, a rapid response unit and an operations manager were sent to help, he said.
The two injured people were found after police were called to the scene, which was between Brown and Douglas Sts, a police spokesman said.
“Police are making inquiries after a report of an assault on Ponsonby Rd overnight ... both [injured people] are receiving medical treatment and inquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances.”
