Great South Rd closed: Pedestrian run over, seriously injured in Drury, Auckland
A pedestrian has been hit by a vehicle this afternoon, closing a major South Auckland road.
Police said Great South Rd was closed after the incident was reported about 12.55pm.
One person has since been transported to hospital in a serious condition.
Great South Rd is currently closed between the Southern Motorway Drury off-ramp and Waihoehoe Rd.
Police confirmed diversions were in place.
“Police thank motorists for their patience while we work to clear the scene,” a police spokesperson said.
