Bread recall: Woolworths Potato Long Rolls recalled over undeclared soy

Woolworths New Zealand is recalling one of its bread roll products because of a labelling error.
The product affected is a six-pack of Woolworths Potato Long Rolls.
A potato long roll is a soft bread roll, similar to a hot dog bun, made by replacing a portion of traditional wheat flour with potato.
Woolworths NZ said the recall was because of a “labelling issue” that did not state the product contained soy.
The product has already been “totally withdrawn” from sale.
The recall notice applies to products sold with a best before date from October 10 to October 31.
“Any customer who has a soy allergy who bought these products should not eat them.
“They are asked to return the product to their nearest store for a full refund,” Woolworths NZ said.
No illness or injury has been reported. However, Woolworths NZ said anyone who consumed the product and had concerns about their health should seek medical advice.

“Woolworths New Zealand takes food safety very seriously, and we apologise to customers for the inconvenience caused by this recall.”
No other products are affected by this recall.
Customers can contact Woolworths’ Customer Care team on 0800 40 40 40 for more information.
