Bank workers suspend strike action

Workers at ANZ National Bank have suspended their campaign of rolling strikes one month after it began.

Their union, Finsec, said calling off the strikes was a gesture of good faith after the bank agreed to re-enter negotiations with workers.

The bank and Finsec representatives met yesterday and will formally
re-enter negotiations next week with a mediator from the Employment Relations Service.
